Te mapa
Boisbriand lies on the north shore of the Rivière des Mille Îles, facing Laval across a river full of small wooded islands. The shoreline forms the town's southern edge. Behind it, residential streets curve in loops and crescents, with larger industrial and commercial blocks set along the main roads. Farther north, the map opens into fields and woodland toward the Laurentian lowlands.
Autoroute 15 and Autoroute 640 cross in Boisbriand, and their long ramps divide the town into clear sectors. For decades the town was known for the General Motors assembly plant, which closed in 2002. Its large site was later redeveloped as the Faubourg Boisbriand district, where a new street layout replaced a single huge industrial footprint.
A Boisbriand map poster shows a suburb shaped by water and highway: the islands and bays of the river along the bottom, and the crossing autoroutes framing everything above. In fine black lines, the quiet crescents of the residential areas contrast with the broad, straight corridors of the expressways.
The river's southern shoreline, scattered with small islands and inlets, forms a detailed natural edge along the whole bottom of the map.
Two expressways cross within the town, their interchange and long ramps forming the strongest geometric shape on the map.
The former automobile plant site now carries a newer district of streets and blocks, a planned pattern that stands apart from the older suburbs.

Boisbriand is home to many families who chose the north shore for its space and its river. A print of its streets suits a first house, a move from Montreal or a gift for someone who grew up along the Mille Îles.
