Te mapa
Boise follows the Boise River as it flows north-west out of the mountains, and the river is the organising line of the city. The Greenbelt, a continuous corridor of parks and paths, runs along both banks, and downtown's regular grid sits just north of the water. Beyond it, streets climb toward the foothills, where the urban pattern stops abruptly against open, brown hills.
As the capital of Idaho, Boise is anchored by the domed State Capitol at the head of Capitol Boulevard. Boise State University sits beside the river, known for the blue turf of its football stadium, and Table Rock rises above the east end of the city. Growth has pushed the suburbs west across the valley toward Meridian and Nampa.
A Boise map poster captures the city's unusual balance of river, grid and foothills in a single view, with the valley opening to the west. It suits long-time residents, newcomers drawn by the outdoors, university graduates and anyone who has enjoyed cycling the Greenbelt or walking the ridges above town.

The downtown streets form a compact, regular grid north of the river. At its heart, Capitol Boulevard leads to the State Capitol.
To the north and east, the streets end against steep, open hills. This sharp boundary is where the map shifts from dense city blocks to empty terrain and trails.
