Ottawa River shoreline
The river forms a long, uneven northern border, with islands and inlets along the shore. It gives the poster a broad, calm band of open space along one side.

Te mapa
Clarence-Rockland stretches along the south shore of the Ottawa River, east of the national capital. It was formed in 1998 when the town of Rockland merged with the surrounding township of Clarence. On a map, the result is a long, wide territory. There is a compact urban core at Rockland near the water, and to the south and east a large rural area of concession roads and small hamlets.
The river is the defining edge. Its broad channel runs along the northern boundary, with islands and marshy bays breaking up the shoreline. Rockland's streets form a modest grid close to that shore, and the main east–west road runs parallel to the river. Inland, the classic Ontario survey pattern takes over, with straight roads meeting at right angles over fields and woodlots.
A Clarence-Rockland map poster brings those two worlds together, the dense town streets by the water and the wide rectangles of farmland behind. It is a largely francophone community with its own character, and the map reflects a place that is both a river town and a rural township.
The river forms a long, uneven northern border, with islands and inlets along the shore. It gives the poster a broad, calm band of open space along one side.
Rockland's streets cluster near the river in a tidy grid. They are the densest part of the map and draw the eye toward the historic heart of the municipality.
South of town, straight rural roads cross at regular intervals, following Ontario's survey system. The result is a clean geometric field that reads well in monochrome.
