Te mapa
DeSoto is a city in southern Dallas County, Texas, one of the Best Southwest communities together with Cedar Hill, Duncanville and Lancaster. On the map it follows the typical North Texas layout: long, straight arterial roads crossing at regular intervals, with residential streets bending and looping inside each block.
Interstate 35E runs along the eastern side of the city, and its interchanges mark the main entrances. Toward the west, the land becomes gently rolling as it approaches the escarpment near Cedar Hill, and creeks cut shallow, tree-lined corridors through the neighbourhoods, often kept as parkland.
A DeSoto map poster shows the city's orderly structure: the civic centre near the main crossroads, schools and sports fields spread across the grid, and the green bands of the creeks cutting diagonally across it all. It's a clean, legible design, which suits the monochrome style well.
The interstate runs along the city's eastern side, with interchanges and frontage roads that form strong linear shapes on the map.
Main roads meet at wide, regular intervals, enclosing neighbourhoods built around curving streets and cul-de-sacs.
Shallow creeks cross the city in winding lines, many bordered by parks and trails that soften the grid.
