Te mapa
Drexel Heights is an unincorporated community in Pima County, Arizona, on the southwestern side of Tucson. It lies in the Sonoran Desert, with the Tucson Mountains rising to the northwest. Rather than having a single centre, it is made up of residential areas spread across a wide, gently sloping plain, connected by long, straight arterial roads.
Dry washes cross the area. They carry water only after heavy rain, but they are clearly visible on the map as winding lines that cut across the regular street pattern. Lot sizes vary a great deal. Tighter subdivisions sit closer to the city, and larger desert parcels with scattered houses appear toward the outer edges.
The community is closely tied to Tucson, and many roads continue straight into the city's grid. A Drexel Heights map poster shows a very Southwestern kind of place: straight roads, winding washes and quiet cul-de-sacs, with the mountains close by on the edge of the frame.
Long, straight roads divide the area into large squares, following the regional grid. They give the poster a clear, open framework.
Dry watercourses meander across the map, cutting diagonally through the regular blocks. Their natural curves add movement to an otherwise ordered layout.
Toward the northwest, development thins out as the ground rises toward the Tucson Mountains. Empty space on the poster marks where the desert takes over.

Koteā ko Drexel Heights
Desert suburbs rarely appear on posters, which makes a map of Drexel Heights feel personal. Add a title, your family name or the year you moved in, and use the coordinates line to mark home.
Sand and Paper suit the desert setting especially well, and Classic black & white, Noir and Blueprint are also available. For $9 you can download all six sizes as 300 DPI PNG and PDF files. You can also order a matte printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
