Rocky outcrops
Granite hills and boulders rise around Dutse, and the city's name refers to them. Roads bend around these outcrops, which gives the street plan an unusual, broken rhythm.

Te mapa
Dutse has been the capital of Jigawa State in northern Nigeria since the state was created in 1991. From above, the city combines an older settlement with a planned government district of wide roads, large plots and administrative buildings. The contrast is easy to see: dense traditional quarters on one side, open, measured layouts on the other.
The name Dutse means rock in Hausa, and the city is known for the granite hills and boulders that rise around it. On a map, these outcrops appear as blank or irregular patches that streets curve around. The Federal University Dutse adds a campus with its own internal road pattern on the outskirts of the city.
A Dutse map poster brings together a planned state capital and a rocky, open landscape. In black and white, the broad avenues and the dense older lanes sit side by side, framed by the empty shapes of the hills. It is a meaningful print for people who studied, worked or grew up in Jigawa.

As the state capital, Dutse has a planned area of wide roads and large sites for state institutions. It contrasts clearly with the tighter lanes of the older town.
Federal University Dutse occupies its own campus with an internal network of roads and buildings. On the map it appears as a distinct, self-contained area.

Koteā ko Dutse
Dutse means a great deal to civil servants, students and families who built their lives around the state capital. A map poster records the city's shape, rocks and roads included, in a form that works as both keepsake and decoration.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates to add a personal note, such as a graduation year or a family name. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries, with an optional wooden frame.
