Te mapa
El Kseur lies in the lower Soummam valley in Béjaïa province, north-eastern Algeria, about twenty kilometres inland from the coast. The river runs along the valley floor, and the town occupies the flatter ground beside it, with the slopes of Kabylia rising behind. On the map, the built-up area is squeezed between the water and the hills and stretches along the main road.
The Soummam valley is a natural corridor through the region, and both the road and the railway follow it between the coast and the interior. Olive groves and orchards cover much of the surrounding land, and villages sit on the hillsides above the valley. In Algeria, El Kseur is also known for the El Kseur Platform of 2001, a set of demands adopted here by the Kabyle citizens' movement.
An El Kseur map poster captures the valley form that defines life here: a river, a transport corridor and a town between them, with hills close on either side. It is a thoughtful choice for families from the area and for the wider Kabyle diaspora in Algiers, France and beyond.
The river winds along the valley floor beside the town. It is drawn as a broad, meandering line that anchors the composition and gives it direction.
Road and rail run side by side through the valley toward Béjaïa and the interior. These two long lines shaped how El Kseur grew along the flatter ground.
Above the valley, small villages and winding roads sit on the slopes among olive groves. They give the edges of the map a finer, more scattered texture.

Koteā ko El Kseur
Many people carry El Kseur with them after leaving Kabylia. A map of the town and its valley offers a quiet, personal link to it. It reads at a glance, yet is detailed enough to find a family street or the road up to the village.
