Te mapa
Encarnación sits on the right bank of the Paraná River in southern Paraguay, directly across from the Argentine city of Posadas. Its street plan is a clean grid of square blocks that stretches back from the river toward rolling farmland. Seen from above, the city and its neighbour form a pair divided by water, one of the clearest border settings in South America.
The river here is wide, partly because the Yacyretá dam downstream raised its level in recent decades. The old lower town was flooded and rebuilt, and the waterfront became a long costanera with promenades and sandy beaches. On a map this appears as a smooth, continuous shoreline rather than the ragged edge of an older port.
The San Roque González de Santa Cruz bridge links the two cities, carrying both road and rail across the Paraná. Encarnación is also known for its summer carnival and as a base for visiting the Jesuit mission ruins at Trinidad and Jesús nearby. An Encarnación map poster places the grid, the shoreline and the bridge in one balanced frame.

The San Roque González de Santa Cruz bridge spans the river to Posadas, a single straight line across open water that connects two countries on the map.
Inland, uniform square blocks repeat in every direction, cut by a few wider avenues, creating the kind of orderly pattern that prints with particular clarity.

Koteā ko Encarnación
Encarnación is a summer destination for many Paraguayans and a crossing point for travellers between Paraguay and Argentina. A map of it remembers both roles at once: the beaches and carnival nights, and the view of Posadas across the water.
