Te mapa
Forest Park is a small city in Clayton County, Georgia, a few miles south of downtown Atlanta and close to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Its map is a patchwork. Curving suburban streets with plenty of tree cover sit next to long railway corridors, highway ramps and large industrial parcels, all typical of land on the southern edge of a major metro area.
Two large features stand out. Fort Gillem, a former US Army installation, covers a big block on the east side of the city, and parts of it have been redeveloped. The Atlanta State Farmers Market, one of the largest in the Southeast, also sits within the city limits near the interstate. Both appear on the map as broad open areas among the smaller residential blocks.
A Forest Park map poster captures an inner-ring suburb: interstates and rail lines slicing through, older neighbourhoods tucked between them, and the airport's influence visible at the western edge. It is an honest, detailed picture of how a working city fits around big infrastructure.
The former army post occupies a large, clearly bounded area on the east side of the city, with its own internal road pattern distinct from the neighbourhoods around it.
The Atlanta State Farmers Market sits near the highway. On the map it shows as a large regular block among the residential streets.
Railway lines and highways cut through the city in long diagonals, dividing neighbourhoods and giving the composition strong lines.

Koteā ko Forest Park
People hang Forest Park because they grew up on its streets, worked at the fort or the market, or bought their first house there. The map shows a part of metro Atlanta that rarely makes it onto a poster.
