Golden Map Poster & Print
Golden sits where the Great Plains meet the Front Range in Colorado, just west of Denver. It was briefly the capital of Colorado Territory and is home to the Colorado School of Mines and to the Coors brewery. Buffalo Bill's grave is on Lookout Mountain above the town.
The map is defined by its terrain. Clear Creek flows out of its canyon and runs straight through the centre. North and South Table Mountain, two flat-topped mesas, rise to the east. To the west, the foothills climb steeply, and Lookout Mountain's road switches back up the slope. The downtown grid fills the valley between them.
A Golden map poster shows a compact town tightly framed by landforms. The regular blocks of downtown and the campus contrast with the empty spaces of the mesas and the curves of the mountain roads. Few small towns have such a clear, dramatic setting.

Table Mountains
