Te mapa
Guigang sits in south-eastern Guangxi on the Yu River, part of the Pearl River system that eventually reaches Guangzhou and the sea. The river gives the city both its purpose and its shape. Guigang has long been one of the busiest inland ports in southern China, handling cargo boats heading downstream towards the Pearl River Delta.
On a Guigang map poster, the river's broad bends run through the middle of the frame, with the urban area spread over both banks and bridges linking them. Port and industrial zones occupy long strips along the water, and residential districts form a denser grid inland. At the edges, the streets give way to farmland, small lakes and the low hills of the Guangxi countryside.
The city is sometimes called the City of Lotuses, a nickname linked to the lotus that grows in its ponds and parks. It is a quieter place than Nanning or Guilin, and its identity is bound up with the river and the working rhythm of the port. For people from Guigang, the map shows home in its most essential form.
A wide river winds through the centre of the city. Its bends define the layout and split the urban area into two connected halves.
Long quays and industrial areas follow the water's edge. On the map they appear as elongated, geometric blocks that trace the course of the river.
Beyond the urban districts, the street pattern thins into farmland and scattered ponds. This leaves a soft, open border around the dense core.

Koteā ko Guigang
Guigang is rarely featured on posters, which makes a map of it all the more personal for people who grew up by its river or still have family there. It is a clean and understated piece for any room.
Customise the title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The $9 download has no watermark, and printed posters are available with an optional wooden frame.
