Te mapa
Hohenstein-Ernstthal lies in western Saxony, between Chemnitz and Zwickau. As the double name suggests, it was formed by the union of two neighbouring towns at the end of the nineteenth century. On the map you can still see two historic centres, one set higher on the slopes and one lower down, now joined by continuous streets.
The town climbs the hillside in a network of curving roads and terraces. It began as a silver-mining place and later became a centre of textile weaving. To the west is the Sachsenring, a motor-racing circuit whose closed loop of track is one of the most recognisable shapes in the area.
The writer Karl May was born in Ernstthal, and his birthplace is now a museum. A Hohenstein-Ernstthal map poster shows both halves of a merged town, plus the racing loop, in a composition that works for local residents and motorsport fans alike.

The racing circuit's closed, curving loop sits beside the town. It is a very graphic shape that circuit fans will recognise at once.
Roads curve and climb across the slopes, following the old mining landscape. The result is a varied, flowing pattern instead of a flat grid.

Koteā ko Hohenstein-Ernstthal
Some people hang this map for the Sachsenring and race weekends. Others hang it for a Saxon home town, or as a nod to Karl May's birthplace. It suits all three, because it is simply the town as it lies on the land.
Add a title, a subtitle or a race date, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir makes the circuit loop especially striking.
