Imzouren is in Al Hoceima province in northern Morocco, in the Rif region. It stands on the edge of the Nekor plain, a flat farming basin that opens onto the Mediterranean near Al Hoceima. The town's streets spread across the lower ground, and the hills of the Rif rise to the west and south.
The map shows a mostly modern town. There are dense blocks of low houses, a few main roads carrying traffic towards Al Hoceima and the interior, and a patchwork of orchards and fields on the plain around it. Imzouren was badly hit by the 2004 Al Hoceima earthquake, and much of the town has been rebuilt since then.

Dense town core
Tightly packed blocks of low houses fill the centre. Narrow streets and a few wider roads give the heart of Imzouren a close, intricate texture.
