Te mapa
Jupi is a municipality in the Agreste of Pernambuco, the transitional zone between the humid coast and the dry sertão. The town is small, and its map shows a compact centre from which roads lead out across hilly, open country. Beyond the built edge, the linework soon thins into farm tracks and scattered rural homes.
The Agreste is a region of smallholdings, cattle and seasonal crops, shaped by a climate with a long dry season. From above, the land appears as a patchwork of irregular plots and pasture. Small reservoirs, known as açudes, dot the landscape to hold water through the drier months, and many watercourses run only after rain.
Jupi lies not far from Garanhuns, one of the larger towns of the region, and shares its upland setting. A Jupi map poster presents the town as it is: a modest grid, winding country roads and a wide surrounding landscape. It is drawn clearly enough to pick out individual streets and the corner where a family house stands.
The town's streets form a small, dense core that stands out clearly against the open countryside, so the shape of the settlement is easy to read at any size.
Small reservoirs scattered across the surrounding farmland appear as irregular shapes on the map. They are a typical feature of the Agreste, where water has to be stored.
Unpaved roads and tracks spread out from Jupi across the rolling uplands. They follow the terrain to reach farms and neighbouring communities and give the poster's outer area its structure.

Koteā ko Jupi
Many people from the Agreste now live in Recife, São Paulo or elsewhere. A Jupi poster is a simple, personal way to keep the shape of home on the wall, without the clutter of a road map.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates with a family name, a date or the name of a street, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the HD files for $9 or a matte printed poster with an optional frame.
