Residential lanes
Narrow streets and small plots fill most of the area, producing a dense, fine-grained pattern that looks especially detailed at larger print sizes.

Te mapa
Kallamchavadi lies in the southern suburban belt of Chennai, in Tamil Nadu, an area that has grown rapidly as the city has expanded beyond its historic limits. From above, it is part of a continuous urban fabric: dense residential lanes, small blocks and a few main roads that carry traffic toward the city centre and the towns further south.
Like much of suburban Chennai, the area mixes older village layouts with newer housing developments, so the street pattern changes from irregular lanes to more regular plots within a short distance. Lakes and water tanks are a common feature of the landscape in this part of the city, and they break up the built-up surface with open space.
A Kallamchavadi map poster isolates this small piece of the metropolis and gives it a frame of its own. The result is a precise, detailed image of a neighbourhood that rarely gets attention on maps, suited to residents, to families who built their first home here or to anyone who has moved away.
Narrow streets and small plots fill most of the area, producing a dense, fine-grained pattern that looks especially detailed at larger print sizes.
A few main roads cut through the neighbourhood and connect it with central Chennai and the suburbs to the south, forming the backbone of the map.
Older, irregular lanes sit next to newer, more regular layouts, a mix that records how the area has grown as part of the expanding city.

Neighbourhoods in growing cities change fast, and a map can capture a place at a particular moment. A poster of Kallamchavadi is a good way to remember a first home, a family house or the streets someone grew up on before moving elsewhere.
Set the title to the neighbourhood, your street or your family name, add a date to the subtitle and choose from five styles, including Noir and Paper. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame, from partners in 30+ countries.
