Te mapa
On the map, Kensington is defined by the open expanse of Kensington Gardens, which merges into Hyde Park on its eastern side. Kensington Palace stands at the western edge of the gardens near the Round Pond. Kensington High Street runs south of the park as the main commercial road. Below it, the district fills with terraced streets, mews and garden squares.
South of the park lies the group of institutions built after the Great Exhibition of 1851, sometimes called Albertopolis. The Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum line Exhibition Road, while the Royal Albert Hall faces the Albert Memorial across Kensington Gore. On the map, these buildings appear as unusually large blocks among the residential streets.
A Kensington map poster balances green and built space. The park takes up a large part of the frame, crossed by tree-lined paths, while the streets to the south and west are laid out in orderly terraces and squares. On the western side, Holland Park adds a second, more wooded green shape. The result is calm and spacious, suited to a hallway or study.

The museum quarter lines this north–south street. Some of the largest building footprints in London sit side by side here in a tight row.
On the western side of the district, this wooded park with formal gardens adds a softer, irregular green shape that contrasts with the geometry of the palace grounds.

Koteā ko Kensington
Kensington holds strong associations for many people: a first London flat, years of study at one of its colleges, afternoons in the museums. Its map is orderly and easy to recognize, which makes it a natural choice for a gift.
You can personalize the title, subtitle and coordinates line to mark an address or a date. The five styles range from Classic black and white to warm Sand, available as $9 HD files or as a printed poster from a nearby print partner.
