Te mapa
Knoxville lies in the Tennessee Valley, and the Tennessee River itself begins just east of downtown, where the Holston and French Broad rivers meet. The river curves past the city centre and the University of Tennessee campus, crossed by a series of bridges. Around it, streets bend to follow long ridges and valleys that run from southwest to northeast.
Founded in the late eighteenth century, Knoxville served as the first capital of Tennessee. The Sunsphere, built for the 1982 World's Fair, still stands in World's Fair Park, and Market Square remains a focus of downtown life. The city is also a gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains, which rise to the southeast.
A Knoxville map poster traces the tension between a river valley and its ridges. The downtown grid sits on a bluff above the water, the campus spreads along the northern bank, and the interstates weave through gaps in the hills. South Knoxville, across the river, adds wooded ridgelines where streets thin out and curve.
The river loops along the southern edge of downtown and the university, forming the map's central curve, with several bridges linking the city to South Knoxville.
A compact grid on high ground above the river, centred on Gay Street and Market Square, with World's Fair Park stretching along its western side.
Away from the centre, roads follow the long parallel ridges of East Tennessee, giving the outer map a combed, diagonal texture characteristic of this landscape.

Koteā ko Knoxville
For many people Knoxville means game days, porch evenings and weekend drives into the Smokies, and a map of the city carries all of that. It is a natural choice for Volunteers alumni, new homeowners or anyone who has left East Tennessee and misses it.
You can change the title and subtitle, add a graduation or wedding date, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with a wooden frame as an option.
