Te mapa
Leandro N. Alem lies in the southern part of Misiones province in north-eastern Argentina. The landscape here is hilly and green, with the region's characteristic red soil. From above, the town spreads across uneven ground, with a more regular centre and streets that bend and loop as they follow ridges and valleys outward.
The town is named after Leandro N. Alem, a nineteenth-century Argentine politician and founder of the Unión Cívica Radical. The surrounding countryside is devoted largely to crops such as yerba mate and tea, which cover the hills in regular rows and give the rural areas a distinctive striped pattern.
A Leandro N. Alem map poster combines those elements: a compact urban core, curving streets shaped by terrain, streams running through small valleys and roads reaching out into cultivated hills. It is a map of a working agricultural town in one of Argentina's most distinctive regions.
The town extends over rolling ground, and many streets curve to follow the land, producing a flowing pattern around a more orderly centre.
Plantations of yerba mate and tea cover the surrounding slopes, and on detailed maps their field boundaries create a regular texture across the countryside.
Small streams run through low ground between neighbourhoods and fields, adding thin winding lines and green corridors to the composition.
