Te mapa
Maragogi lies on the northern coast of Alagoas in north-eastern Brazil, close to the border with Pernambuco. The town stretches along the shore rather than inland, with streets running parallel to the beach and short cross streets leading down to the sand. On a map it reads as a thin band of settlement between the Atlantic and the green land behind it.
Maragogi is best known for its offshore coral reefs, which form shallow natural pools at low tide, locally called galés. Boats take visitors out to them from the beach. The coast here is part of the Costa dos Corais protected area, one of the largest marine conservation areas in Brazil. The Maragogi River reaches the sea near the town, breaking the line of the beach.
A Maragogi map poster focuses on the long, gently curving coastline. The ocean is left as open space, so the design stays simple: the shoreline, the river mouth and the modest grid of streets behind the beach. It is a quiet way to remember a place known for clear water and long days by the sea.

The Maragogi River meets the Atlantic near the town. Its small estuary interrupts the smooth coastline and adds a natural curve to the design.
Offshore coral reefs form the well-known natural pools that visitors reach by boat at low tide. They lie in the open water of the map, within the protected Costa dos Corais.

Koteā ko Maragogi
Many visitors come to Maragogi for a honeymoon, a family holiday or a first trip to north-eastern Brazil. A map poster of the coast is a subtle reminder of that time, less literal than a beach photograph and easier to live with.
Add the date of your trip or a couple's names to the title and subtitle, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. The Blueprint and Sand styles suit a coastal setting particularly well.
