Te mapa
McKinney lies north of Dallas along the US 75 corridor and is the county seat of Collin County. It is named after Collin McKinney, one of the signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence. At its centre is a traditional courthouse square, with the old county courthouse surrounded by two-storey brick storefronts and a small, regular grid of streets.
Around that core, McKinney has grown rapidly into one of the larger cities in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. From above, the expansion is clear. Curving subdivision streets, cul-de-sacs and new arterial roads spread in every direction, divided into large squares by main roads laid out along the old section lines.
A McKinney map poster shows both scales of the city. The historic square is compact and gridded, and the surrounding suburbs form looping patterns across the prairie. Creeks feeding the East Fork of the Trinity River run through the landscape as green corridors, and Lake Lavon lies just southeast.
The historic downtown is arranged around the old Collin County courthouse on a small grid of brick-lined streets, the oldest and most regular part of the map.
Newer neighbourhoods are built around curving streets and cul-de-sacs, filling the large blocks between the arterial roads with soft, looping patterns.
Tree-lined creeks flowing towards the East Fork of the Trinity River cross the city, leaving narrow green paths between the developments.

Koteā ko McKinney
McKinney has attracted many new residents, and a map of the city is a natural way to mark a first house, a wedding on the square or the neighbourhood where the children grew up.
You can set the title, a subtitle such as a move-in date, and the coordinates line, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Classic black & white keeps the suburban patterns crisp.
