Te mapa
Montecarlo sits on the Argentine bank of the Paraná River, with Paraguay on the far shore. From above, the river is the dominant form: a broad, dark band along the town's western edge, and the street pattern seems to turn toward it, running down from higher ground to the water. The river frontage gives the map a clear boundary on one side and an open, loose edge on the others.
The town grew from a settlement founded in the early twentieth century, and it is widely known today for its National Orchid Festival, which draws growers and visitors to this corner of Misiones. On a map, that settled, agricultural character shows in the way the compact centre gives way quickly to roads fanning out into cultivated land, with tree cover and small streams breaking up the pattern.
A Montecarlo map poster reduces all of this to line and space. The river becomes a calm, solid shape, the blocks of the centre read as a tight cluster of fine lines, and the rural roads trail off toward the frame. It is a quiet composition that suits a place defined as much by its water and land as by its streets.
The wide Paraná River runs along the town's edge and marks the border with Paraguay, giving the poster a strong, continuous shape that anchors the whole composition.
The town's core forms a small, dense cluster of blocks, clearly readable from above, before the grid loosens and gives way to roads heading out into the surrounding countryside.
Beyond the built-up area, roads and tracks divide cultivated land and wooded patches, so the outer parts of the map feel open and linear rather than crowded.
