Te mapa
Morretes sits between the steep, forested wall of the Serra do Mar and the lowlands that run toward the bay of Paranaguá. The Nhundiaquara River runs through the town, and the historic centre lines its banks, with a small network of streets and a bridge linking both sides.
The town dates back to the colonial era and is closely associated with barreado, a slow-cooked beef dish that has become a regional emblem. Visitors often arrive on the scenic railway from Curitiba, which descends the mountains through tunnels and viaducts before reaching the plain.
A Morretes map poster frames the meeting of two landscapes. Contour-like roads twist down from the highlands, the river braids through the lowland, and the compact old town sits at the point where they meet. In black and white, the tight centre and the wide green margins become strong, simple shapes.
The river passes right through the old centre, with streets and houses following its banks, giving the map a natural central axis.
Steep mountain slopes rise just beyond town, and winding roads climbing them add expressive, looping lines to the edges of the poster.
The historic line from Curitiba threads down the mountains to Morretes, a thin curving line that ties the town to the plateau above.

Koteā ko Morretes
Morretes is often a place of weekend trips, train journeys and long lunches by the river. A map poster keeps that memory in view, with the river and the mountains holding the small town between them.
Set a custom title and subtitle, include the date of the trip or the coordinates line, and choose from Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Get the HD download for $9 or order a printed poster.
