Te mapa
Most lies in northwest Bohemia, below the Ore Mountains and in the middle of a long-established brown coal basin. In the 1960s and 1970s, most of the historic town was demolished so that the coal beneath it could be mined. A new town was built nearby, and on the map its planned blocks and wide streets look quite different from a typical medieval Czech centre.
The best-known survivor of the old town is the late Gothic Church of the Assumption. In 1975 it was moved 841 metres on rails to its current position so it would not be destroyed. The former mining ground has since been partly restored, and Lake Most now fills an old pit, with the Most Autodrom racing circuit and Hněvín hill close by.
A Most map poster shows a town shaped by extraction and repair. There are planned housing districts and industrial corridors, and new lakes and reclaimed land sit where the old centre once was. It is a map with an unusual story, and in black and white its changed landscape reads clearly.

The Church of the Assumption stands at its new site after being moved 841 metres on rails in 1975, a well-known feat of engineering.
The rebuilt town has regular housing blocks, wide streets and green spaces. On the map it forms a clearly modern pattern at the foot of the hills.

Koteā ko Most
For people from Most, the map records both the town that exists now and the story of the one that was lost. It is a meaningful piece for anyone connected to the Ústí region or its mining history.
You can change the title and subtitle, for example to the old and new town names, and mark exact coordinates. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper gives the map a quiet, archival look.
