Te mapa
Mountlake Terrace lies in south Snohomish County, directly beyond the northern edge of Seattle's King County suburbs. It grew quickly after the Second World War and incorporated in the 1950s. From above it looks like a planned suburb: mostly regular residential blocks and loops, with arterials running north to south and a few curving streets that follow the ground.
Interstate 5 runs along the eastern side of the city and forms its sharpest line on any map. In 2024 a light rail station opened beside the freeway, linking the town to Seattle by train. Near the northern boundary, Lake Ballinger adds a single open, rounded shape to an otherwise fine-grained street pattern.
The name refers to the views of mountains and the lake, and the terrain rises and falls enough to bend some streets out of the grid. A Mountlake Terrace map poster shows a Puget Sound suburb in clean outline: the regular blocks, the freeway edge, the green gaps of parks and ravines, and the lake.
The lake near the city's northern edge is the largest open shape on the map. Its shoreline stands out clearly against the dense residential blocks around it.
The freeway runs along the eastern side as a strong, continuous double line. The new light rail station sits beside it and ties the town to Seattle.
Mostly straight residential blocks bend where creeks and slopes cut through, which gives the postwar grid a softer, more irregular look.

Koteā ko Mountlake Terrace
The map is a quiet record of a first house, a childhood street or a commute that finally got a train. People who have moved away from the Seattle area often want a map of a place like this more than one of the city skyline.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a move-in date, and pick one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed versions ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
