Te mapa
Oupeye is a Walloon municipality just north of Liège, made up of several former villages that grew toward one another. From above it looks less like a single town than a loose cluster of centres. Each has its own church and main street, joined by country roads and newer housing, with open fields still visible between them.
The strongest lines on the map are on the eastern side. The Meuse and the Albert Canal run almost side by side there, two parallel bands of water heading north toward the Dutch border. Road and rail corridors follow the same direction, so the whole eastern edge reads as one broad transport channel. Industrial sites and quays sit along the water.
To the west the ground rises onto the Hesbaye plateau, and the pattern changes to farm plots and narrow lanes. An Oupeye map poster shows that contrast clearly: tight river infrastructure on one side and scattered village cores on the other. Together they make a quiet composition in black and white.
The Meuse and the Albert Canal run close together along the municipality's eastern side, two long ribbons of water that give the map its strongest vertical lines.
The former villages that make up Oupeye each keep a small, dense centre. On the map they show up as distinct knots of streets spaced across the municipality.
West of the valley, the streets thin out into agricultural land. Long field boundaries and rural lanes form a lighter, more open texture than the riverside.

Koteā ko Oupeye
People who grew up in one of Oupeye's villages, or who commute along the canal every day, often want a map that shows the whole municipality at once. It is a way to see how the separate places they know fit together along the river.
You can set your own title and subtitle, such as a village name, a family surname or a moving-in date, and adjust the coordinates line. Then choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
