Te mapa
Payathonzu lies in Kayin State directly on the border with Thailand, at the place long known as the Three Pagodas Pass. The town's name refers to those three small pagodas, which stand near the frontier line. On a map, the settlement is modest and irregular, its streets following the valley floor between forested ridges rather than any planned grid.
The pass has been a route between the Burmese and Thai lowlands for centuries, used by traders and, historically, by armies moving between the two kingdoms. In the Second World War the Thailand–Burma Railway was built through this area, and the pass is still associated with that line. Today a road crosses the frontier here toward Sangkhla Buri on the Thai side.
A Payathonzu map poster is less about density than about position. The town sits where two countries meet in a crease of hills, and the drawing shows how the road bends to find its way through. Streams run down between the slopes, and the border itself cuts across the page as an invisible but decisive line.
The frontier crossing that gives the town its name sits at a low gap in the hills, the natural passage that made this spot a route between Myanmar and Thailand.
Roads in the town follow the lie of the land between ridges, producing short, bending streets and a loose layout that feels shaped by terrain rather than planning.
A single main road runs through the settlement toward the Thai side, forming the spine of the map and linking the town to Sangkhla Buri beyond the pass.

Koteā ko Payathonzu
Payathonzu means something specific to those who have crossed the pass, worked along the border, or traced the history of the wartime railway. A map of it records a threshold, a small town defined by where it stands between two countries.
The poster can carry your own title and subtitle, such as a date of travel, along with an editable coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, and download a free 900 px preview before buying the full files.
