Te mapa
Posillipo is the hill and seaside quarter on the western side of Naples, a promontory that divides the Bay of Naples from the Bay of Pozzuoli. Its name comes from the Greek Pausilypon, often translated as respite from care, and for centuries it was where wealthy Neapolitans and Roman patricians built their villas.
From above, Posillipo is defined by curves. Via Posillipo winds along the slope above the water, while smaller roads zigzag up to the ridge and down to tiny coves. The coastline is rocky and irregular, with inlets such as Marechiaro and the islets of Gaiola, now part of a protected underwater park.
A Posillipo map poster is almost the opposite of a city grid. It is a portrait of a hillside, drawn in looping streets, garden plots and a long, scalloped coast. The contrast between the dense city to the east and the open sea to the south gives the print a strong, elegant balance.
The main coastal road curves along the slope for several kilometres, lined with villas and gardens. It forms the defining line of the map, following every bend of the hill.
The southern tip breaks into small bays and rocky islets, including Gaiola, where a marine protected area covers Roman remains now lying underwater.
Along the top of the promontory, streets thin out into green space around Parco Virgiliano, which looks out toward Nisida, Capri and the Bay of Pozzuoli.

Koteā ko Posillipo
Posillipo is where many people fell in love with Naples, whether they lived there or just stayed a week. A map of its curving roads and coves is a restrained way to keep that view close.
Add your own title, a subtitle such as a wedding date, and a custom coordinates line. The five styles are Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, each showing the coastline differently.
