Te mapa
Punggol occupies the north-eastern corner of Singapore's main island, bounded by the Serangoon River, the Punggol River and the Straits of Johor. Much of the town has been built within the last few decades, and the map shows careful planning throughout: housing estates arranged in neat clusters, parks along the shoreline and roads that curve gently rather than following a strict grid.
Running through the middle is Punggol Waterway, a man-made river linking the Serangoon and Punggol rivers and lined with a continuous park. The Punggol LRT forms two loops around the estates, connecting them to the MRT station at the centre. Offshore to the north-east lies Coney Island, a small wooded island reached by bridges.
A Punggol map poster reads almost like a planning diagram, with the waterway, the rail loops and the coastal parks drawn with equal clarity. It suits the many young families who have made their first homes here, and anyone interested in how Singapore designs and builds its newer towns from the ground up.
A man-made river curves through the centre of the town between two natural rivers, edged by parkland, and forms the most distinctive line on the map.
Two light rail loops circle the eastern and western estates, meeting at the central station and giving the map a pair of clean, rounded outlines.
Parks and promenades follow the shoreline along the Straits of Johor, with Coney Island sitting just offshore at the north-eastern corner.

Koteā ko Punggol
Punggol is where many Singaporeans collected the keys to their first flat. A map of the estates and waterway makes a fitting way to mark that moment, whether for yourself or as a gift for a new household.
