Te mapa
Putte is a municipality in the province of Antwerp in Flanders, northeast of Mechelen and close to the border with Flemish Brabant. It should not be confused with the Dutch village of the same name on the Belgian–Dutch border. The land is flat, and from above Putte looks like much of rural Flanders, a mix of village centres, farmland and houses along connecting roads.
Like many Flemish municipalities, Putte is made up of several villages brought together under one administration. Each keeps a small centre around a church and a few side streets. Between them, long roads lined with houses, a pattern known as ribbon development, connect the villages and cut across the fields. Small woods and farm plots fill the remaining space.
A Putte map poster turns this familiar Flemish landscape into a clear composition. The village centres show as denser clusters, the roads between them as long lines of houses, and the farmland as open space. It suits people who grew up in one of Putte's villages, or who moved here for its quieter setting between Mechelen, Antwerp and Leuven.
Each part of the municipality has its own small centre with a church and a few surrounding streets. They appear as distinct, compact clusters across the poster.
Houses line the roads between villages in long, continuous rows. This typically Flemish pattern draws the strongest lines on the map.
Farmland and small woods fill the spaces between the roads. They give the composition a calm, open background typical of the countryside in Antwerp province.
