Ramapuram is a residential and commercial neighbourhood in western Chennai, not far from Porur and the Mount–Poonamallee Road. From above, it is a close weave of narrow residential streets, broken up by a few main roads and the larger footprints of campuses and office parks.
In recent decades the area has changed quickly. As Chennai's IT sector moved west, office complexes and educational campuses appeared among older houses and small streets. The map shows this in the contrast between fine, irregular lanes and large rectangular blocks with their own internal roads.
