Te mapa
Sahuarita lies south of Tucson in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, along Interstate 19 and the Santa Cruz River corridor. On a map the town is spread across a broad valley floor, with mountain ranges framing the horizon to the east and west and long straight roads running across the open land.
The area is known for its extensive pecan orchards, some of the largest in the country, which appear from above as vast grids of evenly spaced trees. Newer master-planned neighbourhoods, laid out in curving streets and cul-de-sacs, sit alongside these orchards, along with a small man-made lake at their centre.
A Sahuarita map poster captures a landscape of striking contrasts. The strict geometry of orchard rows sits beside the loops of suburban streets, while the dry riverbed and highway cut long lines through the valley. It is a composition of pattern and space, very different from the grid of an older desert town.
Vast orchards spread across the valley in precise rows, creating one of the most distinctive geometric patterns in southern Arizona when seen from above.
The mostly dry channel of the Santa Cruz runs north through the valley, a faint but continuous line connecting Sahuarita with Tucson.
Newer residential areas are laid out in curving streets and cul-de-sacs around a small lake, a soft, looping pattern beside the straight lines of the orchards.

Koteā ko Sahuarita
Many people move to Sahuarita for the desert light, space and pace of life, and a map of it captures that sense of arrival. Its mix of orchards and curving streets makes an unusual, graphic wall piece.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be set to anything you like, and the Sand style suits the desert setting well, alongside Classic, Noir, Paper and Blueprint. Download HD files or order a framed matte print.
