Saint-Amand-les-Eaux grew around a medieval abbey on the Scarpe river, and the map still shows it. The historic streets gather near the river and the old abbey grounds. Roads then fan out north towards the Belgian border and south towards the woodland. The Scarpe's canalised course cuts a clean line through the town.
The town's name comes from its thermal springs, which have been used since Roman times and still supply a spa. Its best-known monument is the tall baroque tower of the former abbey church. Around the town lies the forest of Saint-Amand-Raismes, part of France's first regional nature park, the Scarpe-Escaut park created in 1968.
A Saint-Amand-les-Eaux map poster sets these elements against each other: the compact urban core, the straight waterway, and the large quiet expanse of forest to the south. That empty mass of woodland makes the finished print unusually well balanced.
The river runs through town in a largely regulated channel. Its long, straight lines contrast with the more irregular medieval street pattern beside it.
The streets around the former abbey and its baroque tower form the historic heart. They are dense and closely built compared with the outer districts.
To the south, the street network stops abruptly at the forest of Saint-Amand-Raismes. That boundary produces a striking empty space on the poster.

The print suits anyone who has taken the waters here, walked the forest trails, or grown up between the abbey tower and the Belgian border. It is a calm, graphic way to remember a specific corner of the Nord.
The title and subtitle can carry any name or date you like, and the coordinates line can point to a particular street. Pick from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
