Te mapa
Saint-Pierre-des-Corps sits directly east of Tours in the Centre-Val de Loire, on the low, narrow land between two rivers: the Loire to the north and the Cher to the south. The map shows this clearly, with two broad bands of water framing a flat strip of streets, rail yards and housing. Levees along the rivers mark how much the town depends on flood protection.
The railway defines the place. Saint-Pierre-des-Corps has the main high-speed station for the Tours area, and many trains stop here instead of running into the city's terminus. Wide fans of track and sidings cut across the town, so its street pattern is split by rail lines. That concentration of rail made the town a heavy bombing target during the Second World War.
Much of the town was rebuilt after the war, and its plan mixes post-war blocks, workers' housing and industrial land. A Saint-Pierre-des-Corps map poster reads almost like a technical drawing: two rivers, a web of tracks and the dense Tours grid starting just to the west. It suits railway enthusiasts as well as people who have lived here.
The Loire and the Cher run roughly parallel to the north and south of town. On the poster they frame the built-up strip with two broad, open bands of water.
Tracks, sidings and the high-speed station fill a large part of the map. Their long, fanned lines give the composition an engineered, almost diagrammatic quality.
To the west the streets run straight into Tours without a break. The poster shows the town as the eastern end of a larger riverside urban area.

Koteā ko Saint-Pierre-des-Corps
Some people hang this map because they grew up between the tracks and the Loire. Others remember the station as the start of a trip through the Loire Valley. Either way, the title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised to mark that connection.
The Blueprint style suits the rail lines especially well, and there are four more styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper and Sand. Digital HD files cost $9 and include six sizes, from 30×40 cm to 24×36″, as PNG and print-ready PDF.
