Te mapa
Santa María Atzompa sits on the northwestern edge of Oaxaca de Juárez, in the Central Valleys of Oaxaca. It is known across Mexico for its pottery, particularly the green-glazed ware made by local families, and for the archaeological site of Atzompa on the hill above town, a Zapotec centre closely linked to nearby Monte Albán.
On the map, Atzompa shows how a traditional village has merged with a growing city. The older centre around the church and market holds a tighter street pattern, while newer neighbourhoods spread across the lower slopes in blocks that meet the Oaxaca urban area. Toward the hills, streets thin out and give way to open ground where the archaeological zone sits above the settlement.
A Santa María Atzompa map poster is a fitting souvenir for visitors who came for the pottery or the ruins, and a meaningful one for families whose workshops have been part of the town for generations. In black and white, the meeting of village lanes, suburban blocks and open hillside forms a quietly layered picture.
The historic core around the church and market forms a compact cluster of streets, the heart of a town known for its green-glazed pottery.
Above town, the Zapotec site of Atzompa occupies the hill, and the map leaves this higher ground largely open, framing the settlement from above.
On its southeastern side, Atzompa's streets meet the expanding neighbourhoods of Oaxaca de Juárez, a seam where village and city patterns join.

Koteā ko Santa María Atzompa
Some hang Atzompa for the memory of choosing a green-glazed piece from a family workshop, others because the town is home. Either way, the map offers a calm, precise record of a place where craft and archaeology meet.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a trip date or family name, keep the coordinates line, and choose Paper or Sand for warmth or Classic for crisp contrast. HD files for $9 include six sizes, or order a printed poster.
