Te mapa
Sant'Antonio Abate is a town in the metropolitan city of Naples, set on the flat, intensively farmed plain of the lower Sarno valley, close to where the Lattari Mountains begin to rise. From above, the settlement appears as a tight cluster of streets that gradually loosens into small cultivated plots, scattered houses and country roads.
The street network is irregular rather than planned. Main roads run toward neighbouring towns such as Castellammare di Stabia and Gragnano, and smaller lanes branch off them to reach farms and courtyards. This gives the map an organic, branching pattern typical of the Campanian countryside, where towns grew along roads between fields rather than inside walls.
The town takes its name from Saint Anthony the Abbot, whose feast falls in January. A Sant'Antonio Abate map poster shows a place defined less by monuments than by its relationship with the land, where the edge of the built-up area and the patchwork of fields around it are equally interesting to follow.
The town grew along roads rather than around a single square, so its densest streets stretch in lines toward neighbouring towns and give the map a branching shape.
To the south the terrain begins to rise toward the Lattari Mountains, the range that forms the spine of the Sorrento peninsula. The street pattern thins as the slopes begin.
Much of the surrounding land is farmed in small plots. On the poster these appear as quiet, subdivided space around the town, a contrast to the compact residential blocks.

Koteā ko Sant'Antonio Abate
Southern Italian families abroad often keep a strong tie to the town their grandparents came from. A map of Sant'Antonio Abate offers a way to keep that place visible at home, in a form that is personal without being sentimental.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for example with a family surname and a year of emigration. The poster comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, with Sand and Paper suiting warm Mediterranean interiors.
