Te mapa
Shah Alam replaced Kuala Lumpur as the capital of Selangor in the late 1970s and was designed from the start as a planned city. Its neighbourhoods are numbered sections rather than historic quarters, each organised around its own loops of residential streets and cul-de-sacs. From above, the map looks less like a grid than a series of cells linked by wide highways.
At the centre stands the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque, known for its large blue dome and tall minarets, set beside the Shah Alam Lake Gardens. The Federal Highway and other expressways cross the city between Kuala Lumpur and Port Klang, and the Klang River passes through its southern part, adding one of the few natural lines to an otherwise designed plan.
A Shah Alam map poster suits the orderly, deliberate character of the city. The section boundaries, lake shapes and sweeping interchanges become a clean graphic pattern, and the mosque grounds provide a clear focal point. It works well in modern interiors and for people who know exactly which section they grew up in.
The city is divided into numbered sections, each with its own internal street pattern, so the map reads as a mosaic of distinct residential cells.
The blue-domed state mosque sits next to the lake gardens, a group of water bodies and parkland at the heart of the city's plan.
Major highways between Kuala Lumpur and Port Klang pass through the city, drawing broad, sweeping lines and looping interchanges across the poster.

Koteā ko Shah Alam
Shah Alam is home to universities, state offices and many young families, so it is often the city where people started out. A map of its sections turns a place usually seen through a car window into something considered and personal.
Write your own title and subtitle, for example a section number and a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
