Te mapa
Sint-Andries is one of the districts of Bruges, on the western side of the historic centre. Where the medieval city is a tight egg-shape inside its ring canal, Sint-Andries is spread out and suburban. On a map, its twentieth-century streets and cul-de-sacs sit between patches of woodland, sports grounds and farmland that stretch west toward the coast.
The district is home to the Benedictine abbey of Sint-Andries, also known as Zevenkerken. Its grounds, and the park and woodland around it, form one of the largest green areas at the edge of Bruges. Main roads and the ring road cut firm lines through the district, connecting it to the city centre just a short distance to the east.
A Sint-Andries map poster can include the edge of old Bruges on one side and the open Flemish countryside on the other. The district sits between the two, and the drawing shows that transition clearly. It suits residents who want their own part of Bruges on the wall rather than the familiar tourist centre.
The Benedictine abbey of Zevenkerken and its surrounding greenery form a large open area on the map, defined by quiet paths and not by streets.
Curving residential streets and small closes contrast sharply with the dense medieval grid of central Bruges, just a short distance to the east.
Main roads lead east toward the ring canal around old Bruges. On a wider crop, that oval of water comes into the frame.

Koteā ko Sint-Andries
Many people's Bruges is not the canals but the streets where they actually live, and Sint-Andries is one of those places. A map of the district makes a personal, everyday record of home.
You can use the title for a house name or a family, add a date in the subtitle and pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Printed posters come on matte paper, with an optional wooden frame.
