Te mapa
Sint-Niklaas is the main town of the Waasland, the flat region between Antwerp and Ghent. Its map has one feature you notice straight away: the Grote Markt, often described as the largest market square in Belgium, sits open at the centre as a broad, empty shape among the dense blocks. Streets spread out from it in all directions, like spokes from a hub.
Around the historic core, the town grows in a mix of older lanes and later residential grids, with green spaces and a few small parks in between. The railway between Antwerp and Ghent passes to the side of the centre, and a ring of main roads holds the town together. Beyond that, the flat Waasland countryside is divided into small fields and scattered villages.
The square is more than a map feature. Every September it hosts the Vredefeesten, when hot-air balloons lift off from the Grote Markt. The town also has a museum dedicated to the cartographer Gerardus Mercator, who was born nearby. A Sint-Niklaas map poster suits a town with that connection to mapmaking.

Main streets leave the square toward the surrounding towns, drawing a spoke pattern that organises the centre before the grid takes over.
The Antwerp–Ghent line runs past the historic core, a firm straight line that separates the older centre from the newer districts beyond.

Koteā ko Sint-Niklaas
If you know Sint-Niklaas from balloon mornings over the square or from growing up in the Waasland, this map captures the town in a single, recognisable shape. It works well in a hallway or study, especially for anyone who likes Mercator.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, with a street name or the year you moved in, for example. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand as a digital download or a printed poster.
