Te mapa
Tanque Verde is an unincorporated community on the eastern edge of the Tucson area in southern Arizona. The map shows low-density desert living: large lots, curving residential roads and wide washes that cut across the landscape and run full only after storms. To the east the Rincon Mountains rise, and the streets stop at their foothills.
Tanque Verde Road, the main route, runs through the area toward the mountains. Nearby, the eastern district of Saguaro National Park protects slopes covered in giant cacti, and Sabino Canyon, a popular hiking area, lies a short distance to the north. The Tanque Verde Wash, which gave the area its name, is a broad sandy channel that meanders through it.
A Tanque Verde map poster is open and spacious. Long roads, loosely scattered streets and the wandering lines of the washes spread across a lot of empty ground. The Sand style suits the desert naturally, while Noir turns the mountains into a dark edge around the valley.

To the east, the roads stop at the mountains' edge, where the national park begins and the map becomes open space.
The main road runs through the community toward the mountains, a long straight stroke that ties the composition together.
