Te mapa
Tchibanga is the capital of Nyanga province, in the far southwest of Gabon, not far from the border with the Republic of the Congo. Unlike much of the country, which is covered by dense rainforest, the land around the town includes stretches of open grassland, and from above the settlement appears as a network of streets spreading across a lighter, more open landscape.
The town serves as the administrative and commercial center of its province, and its roads reflect that role, leading out toward surrounding towns and villages. The Nyanga River, which gives the province its name, flows through the wider area, and forested ridges rise in the distance. Within Tchibanga itself the street pattern is relaxed and spacious, with larger plots and gaps between neighborhoods.
A Tchibanga map poster offers a portrait of a place that few maps show in any detail. Its value lies in the shape of everyday life: the main roads, the administrative center, the residential districts and the open ground between them. In monochrome, the loose pattern of the town takes on a light, airy quality that suits a calm interior.
As the seat of Nyanga province, Tchibanga has a clear central area where main roads meet, forming the densest part of the street network on the map.
The town sits in one of the savanna areas of southern Gabon, so its streets spread across relatively open ground rather than being hemmed in by continuous forest.
The river that gives the province its name flows through the surrounding landscape, part of a wider pattern of waterways and low valleys around the town.

Koteā ko Tchibanga
For people from Nyanga, or anyone who has worked or lived in southern Gabon, a map of Tchibanga is a way to keep a distant town close. It is a personal choice rather than a tourist souvenir, and it carries meaning precisely for that reason.
Adjust the title, subtitle and coordinates line to include a name, a date or a short dedication. Select one of five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download the HD files or order a printed poster on matte paper.
