Te mapa
Torvaianica is a coastal locality in the municipality of Pomezia, on the Tyrrhenian shore south of Rome. Its map is shaped by the sea: a long, almost perfectly straight coastline, a coast road running parallel to it, and a grid of residential streets filling the flat land behind, much of it developed from the mid-twentieth century onward as a seaside resort for Romans.
The name comes from an old coastal watchtower, one of many built along this shore to guard against raids from the sea. Beyond the beach strip the landscape opens up, with areas of Mediterranean scrub, pine woods and farmland stretching inland toward the Alban Hills and the suburbs of Pomezia.
A Torvaianica map poster makes a strong, simple image: the clean horizontal of the shore, the regular blocks of holiday homes and residences, and the roads leading inland. It suits anyone who spent summers on this coast, or who lives here year-round and knows the town beyond its beaches.
The coastline runs in an almost unbroken straight line, giving the poster a strong edge between the dense town and the open sea.
The main coast road follows the shoreline, with beach establishments and houses on one side and a grid of residential streets on the other.
Behind the seafront, streets are laid out in a fairly regular pattern of blocks, typical of twentieth-century resort development on flat ground.

Koteā ko Torvaianica
For many Romans, Torvaianica is where summers happened: days on the beach, evenings along the seafront, the drive back into the city. A map of its streets and shoreline holds those memories in a calm, uncluttered form that suits any room.
Edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with the year of a particular summer, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Digital files are $9 for six print sizes, and printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
