Te mapa
White Rock sits on the southern edge of Metro Vancouver, facing Semiahmoo Bay and, a short way to the south, the border with the United States. The city is small in area and almost surrounded on land by Surrey, so on a map it appears as a compact block of streets pressed between a larger suburb and the water.
The terrain shapes everything. From the waterfront, the land rises steeply, and streets climb the hillside in switchbacks and short, sloping blocks before levelling onto the plateau above. A railway runs right along the shoreline, separating the beach promenade from the rest of the town. At low tide, broad sand flats extend far into the bay, and the coastline on the map reflects that shallow, gradual edge.
The city takes its name from a large white boulder on the beach, a local landmark with its own stories in Semiahmoo tradition. Nearby, the long wooden pier stretches out into the bay and is often described as the longest in Canada. A White Rock map poster captures the neat meeting of these elements: the straight shoreline, the pier, and the dense streets on the slope above.
The wooden pier extends far into Semiahmoo Bay, a thin straight line on the map that reaches from the promenade toward open water.
Tracks run directly along the shore, tracing the coastline and separating the beach and promenade from the hillside streets.
Behind the waterfront, streets climb a steep slope with short blocks and curving roads, flattening into a more regular layout on the upland above.

Koteā ko White Rock
White Rock is the kind of place people return to for walks along the promenade and evenings on the pier. A map of it makes sense for anyone who has lived on the slope above the bay, or who simply measures summers by trips to the beach there.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, or add a date that matters to you. The five styles, Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, let the bay read as crisp and graphic or warm and quiet.
