Airport runways
The long parallel and crossing runways of Brussels Airport are the largest shapes on the map. Their bold straight lines give the poster an unmistakable, almost architectural structure.

Te mapa
Zaventem is a municipality in Flemish Brabant on the northeastern edge of Brussels, and on a map one feature dominates: Brussels Airport. Its runways, taxiways and terminal buildings cover a large share of the municipality. Around them, older village centres, office parks and residential streets fit into the remaining space, crossed by motorways and rail lines.
Besides Zaventem itself, the municipality includes the villages of Nossegem, Sterrebeek and Sint-Stevens-Woluwe, each with its own small core of streets around a church. The E40 motorway and the Brussels Ring pass through the area, and the rail line to the airport runs alongside. Small streams and patches of farmland still separate some of the built-up areas.
A Zaventem map poster turns an infrastructure landscape into a surprisingly elegant image. The long straight runways contrast with the curving village roads, and the motorway interchanges add sweeping arcs. For anyone who flies in and out of Belgium regularly, or who lives in the shadow of the flight paths, it is a very recognisable shape.
The long parallel and crossing runways of Brussels Airport are the largest shapes on the map. Their bold straight lines give the poster an unmistakable, almost architectural structure.
Zaventem, Nossegem, Sterrebeek and Sint-Stevens-Woluwe each keep a small cluster of older streets. These compact cores add finer detail between the larger infrastructure.
The E40 and the Brussels Ring meet near the airport in wide curves and ramps. On the map they form flowing arcs that frame the commune and link it to the capital.

Koteā ko Zaventem
Zaventem is where many journeys start and end, and home to people who work at the airport or in the surrounding offices. A map of it suits frequent travellers and aviation enthusiasts, as well as families who know the villages behind the runways.
Add a flight date, a village name or a personal note in the title and subtitle, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose Blueprint for a technical look, or Classic black & white, Noir, Paper or Sand. Files cost $9, and printed posters ship from nearby partners.
