Te mapa
Zhaodong lies in Heilongjiang province on the Songnen plain, between Harbin and Daqing. The terrain is almost perfectly flat, and the map shows it clearly: a regular grid of wide streets and large blocks, with a railway line running through the city and straight roads extending into the surrounding farmland. Beyond the urban edge, fields stretch far in every direction.
The plain is dotted with lakes, ponds and wetlands, many of which appear on the map as irregular shapes among the farmland. Agriculture has long shaped the local economy, and the city serves a large rural hinterland. Winters here are long and cold, and the wide, open streets reflect a northern town built on land where space has rarely been limited.
A Zhaodong map poster emphasises the clarity of a plains city. The regular grid forms a bold central pattern, the railway draws a long diagonal or straight line, and the lakes and fields around the city provide softer, open forms. In black and white, it creates a calm, orderly composition, one that clearly reflects the scale of China's northeastern landscape.

A railway runs through the city on its way between Harbin and Daqing, forming one of the strongest lines on the map.
Irregular lakes and ponds are scattered across the surrounding farmland, adding softer natural shapes around the geometric city.
