Square-block grid
The centre is laid out in even square blocks around a main square. The pattern gives the printed map a calm, almost woven regularity.

关于地图
Aguazul Map Poster & Print
Aguazul is a town in Casanare, in eastern Colombia, set where the last folds of the Eastern Cordillera flatten into the plains of the Llanos. The map shows this change clearly. To the west the ground is rumpled and the roads wind. To the east the terrain opens out, and rivers spread into several channels as they cross it.
The town follows a regular grid of square blocks around a central square, the usual layout of Colombian towns. A main road passes through and links Aguazul with Yopal, the departmental capital, and with routes into the interior. The surrounding municipality is also known for oil, as part of the Casanare fields developed from the early 1990s.
An Aguazul map poster shows a compact, orderly core surrounded by a looser pattern of rural roads, streams and field boundaries. The geometry is simple, so the style you choose shapes the result, and each version brings out the grid differently. For people from Casanare, it is a direct, unsentimental picture of home on the edge of the plains.

Foothills to plains
To the west the terrain rises toward the Andes and the roads curve with it. To the east the lines straighten out across the open Llanos.
Braided rivers
Rivers coming down from the mountains spread into wide, shifting channels when they reach the flat ground. The map draws them as loose, overlapping strands.

一张有意义的地图
Hang it as a reminder of home in Casanare, of a family farm on the plains, or of years spent working in the region. The compact grid reads clearly from across a room and suits both homes and offices.
