White Nile bank
The river runs alongside the town and forms the strongest element on the map. Its broad course gives the composition a natural border and a sense of scale.

关于地图
Al-Quṭaynah Map Poster & Print
Al-Quṭaynah lies in White Nile State in Sudan, on the banks of the White Nile south of Khartoum. The landscape here is flat and open, and the river is the defining feature. From above, the town extends along the waterfront, with streets and compounds arranged parallel to the river and a looser pattern farther inland.
The White Nile is wide and slow in this stretch, with low banks, seasonal wetlands and cultivated land along its edges. Roads connect the town with Khartoum to the north and with other towns along the river. Beyond the settled area, the terrain turns into dry plain crossed by tracks.
An Al-Quṭaynah map poster shows the relationship between the town and the water. The broad river curve, the settled strip along its bank and the fading lines of the roads create a simple, balanced composition. It is a clear image of how Sudanese river towns take their shape.

为什么选Al-Quṭaynah
一张有意义的地图
For people from White Nile State, especially those now living elsewhere, Al-Quṭaynah is home in a way few maps acknowledge. A poster of the town beside the river makes a meaningful and restrained reminder.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, in English or with a transliterated name you prefer. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. HD files cost $9, and printed posters are available with an optional wooden frame.
