关于地图
Amballūr Map Poster & Print
Amballūr is a panchayat in Thrissur district, in central Kerala, lying a short way south of Thrissur city. Like much of this part of the state, it is not a compact town but a spread of houses, temples, shops and schools set among coconut palms and rice fields. On a map that becomes a web of small roads, each branching toward clusters of homes rather than meeting in a single centre.
The main road corridor between Thrissur and Chalakudy passes close by, and it is the strongest line on the map, carrying traffic south toward Kochi. Away from it, lanes follow the edges of fields and the higher ground between them. Low-lying paddy land appears as open space, crossed by channels and embankments, while the settled areas trace the drier ridges.
An Amballūr map poster is a study in density without a grid. In black and white, the fields read as pale open areas, the roads as fine threads between them, and the houses as a scattered, even texture. It is a very different image from a planned city, and it captures the semi-rural pattern that defines so much of Kerala.

Paddy lowlands
Open, low-lying fields sit between the settled ridges, appearing as blank space crossed by field channels and footpaths, a pattern typical of the central Kerala plain.
Branching lanes
Rather than a grid, the local roads branch and curve around property lines and fields, forming a fine network that connects temples, schools and houses across the panchayat.

为什么选Amballūr
一张有意义的地图
Many families from central Kerala live far from home, in the Gulf, in other Indian cities or further abroad, and a map of Amballūr keeps the lanes and fields of the home village close. It makes a thoughtful gift for parents or for a new house.
Write the family name or the village in the title, add a date and the coordinates, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. A free watermarked preview lets you check the framing before buying.
