Market core
The busiest part of town is a tight group of streets and blocks around the commercial centre, where most routes converge.

关于地图
An Nuhūd Map Poster & Print
An Nuhūd is a town in West Kordofan, Sudan, set in a broad, gently undulating landscape of sandy soils and dry savanna. There are no major rivers or coastlines nearby, so the map is shaped by roads and settlement alone. The town is a compact cluster of blocks and compounds, with tracks and routes leading away in several directions toward villages and grazing lands.
The town has long been a trading centre for the surrounding countryside, where livestock and farm produce from the region are bought and sold. Kordofan is also one of the world's main sources of gum arabic, harvested from acacia trees. Printed as a large-format An Nuhūd map poster, the town reads as a hub where many routes meet.
Because the setting is so open, the town's outline stands out clearly, and the density of streets fades quickly into scattered homesteads. In a minimalist print this becomes an honest portrait of a Sahelian market town: a centre, a web of routes and the wide space around them.

Radiating routes
Roads and tracks leave the town in several directions, forming a star-like pattern that reflects its role as a hub for the surrounding area.
Open savanna
Beyond the built-up area the land is largely open, with scattered settlements. On the print it becomes calm, empty space framing the town.
