关于地图
Betroka Map Poster & Print
Betroka is in the Anosy region of southern Madagascar, on the high, open grassland that separates the central plateau from the dry south. On a map the town is a small, compact cluster. A handful of streets meet around a centre, with the main road passing through, and wide open country surrounds it on every side.
The region is cattle country, and towns like Betroka have long served as markets and stopping places on the routes between the highlands and the south coast. Roads are long and sparse here, so the town's links to the wider island appear as a few firm lines across the plain. Rivers and seasonal streams add curves to the empty ground.
A Betroka map poster is about scale. A small town sits in a big landscape, with lines leading off toward distant places. In a clean monochrome print, the empty space around the streets becomes part of the design, which makes this an unusually calm and open composition.

The southbound road
A long road crosses the plateau through town, linking the interior to the south. It forms the strongest line on the map, cutting straight through the frame.
Open grassland
Wide grassland surrounds the town, crossed by rivers and seasonal streams. Their meandering lines are the main detail in the outer parts of the poster.

为什么选Betroka
一张有意义的地图
Betroka is home for many families in southern Madagascar, and a map of it is a simple, meaningful keepsake for anyone living in Antananarivo or abroad. It shows the town and its roads without decoration.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates with a name, a place or a date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand matches the plateau's open, warm tones.
