Indus floodplain
West of the town, the river and its shifting channels form a wide band of water and sand that gives the map a loose, organic edge.

关于地图
Bhakkar Map Poster & Print
Bhakkar lies in western Punjab, close to the east bank of the Indus River. Here the river spreads across a broad floodplain of braided channels and sandbanks. To the east the land rises gently into the Thal, a desert of dunes and scrub that irrigation has partly turned into farmland. The town sits between these two very different landscapes.
On a map, Bhakkar has a compact old core of close, irregular streets, surrounded by newer neighbourhoods laid out in straighter lines. Main roads lead out toward the Indus and to other towns in the Thal. Irrigation canals cut straight lines across the fields around the town and give the edges of the map a clean, measured look.
The district is agricultural, and the Thal around Bhakkar is known for growing chickpeas in its sandy soils. A Bhakkar map poster shows clearly how a riverside market town gathers its streets. The Indus lies on one side, irrigated fields stretch away on the other, and the straight lines of canals cross the land in between.

Irrigation canals
Long, straight canals run through the farmland around Bhakkar. Their precise lines contrast with the curving river and the tighter town streets.
Old town core
At the centre, narrow lanes and closely packed blocks form a dense knot. It stands out against the more regular neighbourhoods further out.

为什么选Bhakkar
一张有意义的地图
Bhakkar is home to families whose members have spread across Pakistan and abroad. A map of the town is a simple, lasting way to keep its streets, the nearby Indus and the farmland of the Thal in view.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a family name, a date or a short dedication. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits the colours of the Thal.
